Telford-based battery specialist AceOn had the distinguished honour of welcoming Andrew Bailey, Governor of the Bank of England, to its Stafford Park facilities. This visit provided a unique opportunity to showcase AceOn’s innovative projects, further cementing its reputation as a leading figure in renewable energy and sustainable battery technology.

During the tour, Mr. Bailey was introduced to several key initiatives, including Project Mettle, an ambitious two-year program launched in Kyiv. This project, backed by AceOn’s second-life battery technology, aims to provide zero-emission power solutions, supporting humanitarian efforts in collaboration with the Ukrainian Red Cross. The Governor praised AceOn’s commitment to innovation, remarking:
“This is real innovation here at AceOn. It’s inspiring to see businesses like this leading the way, and it offers important lessons for the policies we shape nationally.”
2024 has been a pivotal year for AceOn, with highlights including Project Mettle‘s introduction to international dignitaries and an array of cutting-edge projects at the forefront of renewable energy. AceOn’s Portable Energy Storage (PES) systems, the cornerstone of Project Mettle, not only provide off-grid, sustainable power but also demonstrate the company’s vision of utilizing second-life battery technology to transform energy access globally.
