AceOn has been at the forefront of international projects over the past few years, and we’re delighted to announce a huge step forward in our goal to drive clean power access across sub-Saharan Africa.

AceOn Africa will deliver cutting-edge energy storage solutions and clean technology systems tailored to local needs. Through partnerships and innovation, we aim to foster energy independence, economic growth, and climate resilience.

This expansion underscores our long-term commitment to empowering communities through clean energy innovation and sustainable development across the African continent.

On August 15th, 2025, we received our Certificate of Incorporation from URSB to officially begin our operations in Uganda.

We chose Kampala, Uganda’s capital, as our strategic business hub for our African operations thanks to its strong business community, young & talented workforce, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Moreover, we also had several strong ties with business leaders in Uganda, which helped us take this impressive step forward after months of hard work and several in-country visits.

Our African office, located at Acacia Mall, is close to downtown Kampala, offering us the perfect spot to liaise with clients and plan prospective projects in the region in the coming years.

With a new office comes a new team on the ground to represent AceOn in Kampala and the African market.

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Mercy Kyasiimire as our Managing Director in Kampala, AceOn.

A Kyambogo University graduate and former teacher, Mercy has been running her own agricultural business for the past few years. We’re thrilled that she has agreed to join us at this crucial stage of our business development.

AceOn Group CEO Mark Thompson said, “I’m especially delighted to welcome Mercy Kyasiimire as our Managing Director in Uganda. Her leadership and expertise will be central as we drive this mission forward.”

On her appointment, Mercy said: “I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with AceOn. I’m passionate about the delivery of sustainable projects in Uganda, and I believe that AceOn has the tools, personnel, and broader network to make a big impact here and within our neighbouring countries.”

After visiting AceOn’s new office in Kampala earlier this month, Greig Young, Chairman of AceOn Group, commented: “The launch of AceOn Africa is not just a business expansion – it’s a heartfelt commitment to creating positive impact. With Mercy’s leadership, we are confident that AceOn Africa will become a catalyst for sustainable progress across the region.”
