Bringing together the next generation of installers and technology

To deliver a Net Zero future for the UK, we don’t only need effective, carbon-saving innovations – we also need people with the skills and knowledge to install them.

That’s why AceOn has committed time and resources to upskilling the next generation of engineers and installers with the training they need to be able to build, install and service our energy storage systems.

Earlier this year Molly (pictured) joined AceOn as a Level 2 student from Telford College. She was working towards her T-level Engineering qualification, and she came to us one day a week to get some real world experience.

Molly impressed us so much with her enthusiasm for AceOn and its products and her aptitude for technical working that we’ve just taken her on as an Engineering Technician apprentice on a four-year course.

Molly said: “I’m really happy and excited to start my apprenticeship with AceOn this September. I am enjoying working on a project building battery packs at the moment. We are recycling old car and bus batteries to provide energy for houses and universities. I am working alongside the Technical Engineer at AceOn. It’s really exciting work.”

Mark Thompson, Managing Director at AceOn Group, said: “We are delighted to have Molly aboard as our latest apprentice. We operate in an exciting and ever-changing industry and we need more people like Molly, with the willingness to learn the skills needed to fit the latest innovative green products that are coming to the market.

“To tackle climate change, we need skilled people as much as we need new technology.”
