Portable Energy: Revolutionising with Second-Life Batteries
In relation to portable energy, AceOn is taking significant strides by integrating second-life batteries from electric vehicles into our cutting-edge Portable Energy Storage (PES) Systems. This initiative not only extends the life of EV batteries but also demonstrates our commitment to practical, eco-friendly solutions. By re–using these batteries in various applications, from mobile to stationary energy systems, we are not only reducing waste but also enhancing the accessibility and versatility of renewable energy sources. Our aim is to work alongside automotive manufacturers to support and enable their approaches to EV battery end-of-life. The AceOn PES concept will be demonstrated throughout the year at various shows and exhibitions.
Recycling: Pioneering Sustainable Electronics with key UK Supply Chain
Our partnership with In2tec, a company renowned for its 100% recyclable electronics, is a cornerstone of our approach to circular economy principle. Our partnership began when we joined the ScaleUp Institute program a few years ago and submitted a successful grant bid for Innovate UK Energy Catalyst Round 10, which commences in May 2024 in relation to delivering a 2nd life energy storage project âHIGHESSâ in Nigeria.
Together, AceOn are innovating in electronics so that they will be used in AceOnâs future products with In2tecâs patented ReUSEÂź and ReCYCLEâą technologies, which enable the complete recycling or easy repair of battery components. This collaboration is a significant step towards reducing e-waste and promoting circular economy practices in electronics manufacturing . whilst developing UK IP that can be sold around the world whilst utilising 2nd life batteries
