A video of the Renewergy Virtual Power Plant (VPP) launch is now available online, helping to share key information about the ground-breaking new green energy system to an even wider audience.
On 10 November 2020, AceOn Energy officially launched the Renewergy VPP at a special webinar hosted by the Association of Public Service Excellence (APSE). The launch presentation was recorded by APSE Energy and a five minute summary of it is now available to view and share online.
The new Renewergy Virtual Power Plant (VPP) can play a major part in helping the UK meet its climate change targets in the next 20 years. Its roll out will also bring cost savings for householders and new revenue streams for councils, social housing providers and developers.
AceOn Energy managing director Richard Partington said: “The video of the APSE Energy launch really helps to bring to life what the VPP is and what its benefits are. It’s short and punchy to highlight the key points and will hopefully encourage public and private sector organisations to get in touch with us to find out more and see if we can identify projects where we can work in partnership”.
The Renewergy VPP is a truly unique, innovative system using the very latest battery storage technology and smart energy management software which allows homes to capture solar energy and then store it in the most efficient and environmentally-friendly way for later use.
The system not only drives down electricity costs for the homeowner or tenant but it also makes the most efficient use possible of renewable energy and provides a revenue stream when surplus power is aggregated and traded with the National Grid.
This makes it particularly attractive for local authorities, social housing providers and developers who want to meet their own carbon emission targets but also want to generate a return on their capital investment.
