AceOn has been thanked by a Government minister after joining leading companies from across the region at a special event to drive forward the low carbon economy.
BEIS – the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy – hosted the virtual exhibition and conference called Your Business Journey to Net Zero to help Midlands-based SMEs plan their own route to decarbonisation.
AceOn – a national leader in developing renewable energy storage and cutting-edge battery solutions – was one of 20 companies specially selected by BEIS to showcase the technology which will lead the Green Revolution announced by the Government.
Business development manager Lawrie Wilson said more than 500 people registered for the event, which included presentations from local, regional and national leaders and also featured case studies from experienced businesses.
Minister for Business, Energy and Clean Growth Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP and the Government’s Net Zero business champion Andrew Griffith MP thanked AceOn and all the companies for taking part.
Lawrie said: “The event brought together some of the region’s most innovative businesses to demonstrate the technology which will help us reach the nation’s Carbon Zero carbon by 2050, as we must by law.
“AceOn has energy storage systems that can help businesses of all shapes and sizes to reduce their carbon footprint and both save money and potentially generate revenue from selling energy to the National Grid.
“We were delighted to be asked to take part and our involvement reflects the role we are playing in delivering solutions today for tomorrow’s world.”
