AceOn Group Select HelpHarryHelpOthers as Our 2014 Charity

AceOn Group have decided that HelpHarryHelpOthers will be our selected 2014 Charity.

HelpHarryHelpOthers - a campaign started by an incredibly brave little boy called Harry Moseley. Whilst battling an inoperable brain tumour, Harry was inspired to make a difference to all people with cancer when a friend of his who also had a brain tumour became very ill.

Within the space of just over two years, Harry had organised and attended over 80 events which included selling his hand made bracelets outside supermarkets, at car boots and community fayres; delivering his PowerPoint presentation to businesses and schools; and public speaking at large public events to audiences of 500 people.
Sadly Harry’s health took a sudden turn for the worse following brain surgery in August 2011. On 8th October 2011, and after 14 weeks in a coma, Harry passed away peacefully at home in his Mom’s arms.
We really hope that you can take the time to read Harry’s story in his own words and to learn about the inspiration behind HelpHarryHelpOthers.
“Hi my name is Harry, I am 11 years old and I have an inoperable brain tumour. When a very close friend of mine became very ill in 2009 because of his brain tumour I set up ‘HelpHarryHelpOthers’.
I started my campaign by making beaded bracelets to sell in shops and businesses in the hope that people would support me and donate enough money for brain cancer research so that in return I could help get my special friend better.
Robert Harley was my inspiration and although he sadly died just after I started my campaign, I am determined to continue in his memory to help find a cure for this horrible illness so that no one has to go through what I have.”
HelpHarryHelpOthers is now a fully registered Charity and Harry would be so proud.  Like Harry always said about his bracelets, the Charity is “hand made with love for all people with cancer”. Harry worked so hard on his campaign and our mission now is to continue with what HE created in the hope that one day we can find a cure for brain cancer. Until then we want to bring back smiles to the families of all children living with cancer and helping those that support them along the way.
